Only cross rolled steels go into the manufacture of Disston valve discs. Heat treated under closely controlled conditions, the discs are hardened and double tempered, and meet extremely high flatness standards. Low stress grinding relieves residual stresses to provide close parallelism and thickness tolerances. Disston valve discs are ground to close accuracy in both inside and outside diameters and are liquid honed or vibrated to fine finishes and uniform corner breaks. PROOF OF PERFORMANCE: Disston Valve discs have operated for more than 25,000 hours without a breakdown. We carry many different brands of valve discs.
